Translate Bots and Webhooks

Learn how to whitelist certain bots and webhooks for translation integration with Discord Translator.

By default, Translator will ignore all messages by bots, this is a common practice to avoid unpredictable behaviors and response-loops.

With that said, if you still wish to translate messages by other bots, you can do so by creating a member role called can-translate then assign it to the bots you wish to whitelist for translation.

Whitelist Bots

  1. Server Settings
  2. Roles
  3. Create a new Role
  4. Name the new role as: can-translate
  5. Assign this role to the bot you want to translate
  6. Write this command in the channel(s) you want this in: -translate channel bots all

This simply makes Discord Translator treat the whitelisted bot(s) as regular users. For automatic translation of bots, view the other pages about it (user/channel translation).

Disable

Simply remove the can-translate role from the bots. Or delete the role itself.
