Translate Channels

Learn how to configure automatic channel translation and edit channel settings. Translations can be posted under the original text (same-channel) or forwarded to language-channels (auto-group).

Automatic translation is limited to 2 languages in the free trial. For more languages, consider buying a premium plan.

Auto translate linked channels

Instead of seeing translations under each message, you can link separate language-channels and forward translations to keep the conversation clean. With that setup, native speakers will only need to read and write in their native language in their language-channel.

All messages are translated and mirrored so the conversation across channels is the same. This is the preferred way for auto-translating more than 2 languages, We highly recommend this approach and offer support for setting it up if you need help.

  1. First decide which channels you wish to translate, for the sake of this guide, we will use the #announcements, #general-chat and #leaders channels as examples.
